Camilla Buttery: Chair of the Board of Trustees
Camilla is currently Business Development Manager at Epic Shipping, a small private shipping company focused on transport of LPG around South East Asia.
Previously, Camilla worked in Corporate Strategy and M&A at Microsoft in Seattle where her main areas of focus were social media and healthcare. She worked on the social networking strategy that led to Microsoft’s investment in Facebook.
During her time at Microsoft, Camilla also spent a lot of time on China focused projects.This included travelling to Xinjiang in North West rural China to observe the company’s rural education and development initiatives. Camilla also worked as a strategy consultant for Monitor Group where she focused on healthcare and media for multinationals.
Camilla is an outdoors enthusiast. She completed a 150 mile desert race in Namibia and attended other races as a volunteer in China, Egypt and Chile. She recently finished the Haute Route in the Alps.
Pedram Parasmand: Founding Trustee
Pedram works for Teach First to develop the capacity of Teach First Ambassadors (alumni), who remain in teaching, be more effective in raising the achievement, aspiration and access to opportunities otherwise not available to pupils from low-income backgrounds. Pedram is also a Governor of a Special school and a mentor to two sixth form pupils.
Prior to this role Pedram worked as an Education Consultant for the Studio Schools Trust and taught in a variety of schools for nearly seven years.
He entered teaching in 2003 as part of Teach First’s inaugural cohort. He worked as teacher of science for five years in South London. In this time Pedram ran the Physics department, was the ‘Gifted and Talented’ coordinator, a ‘Leading Teacher’ in the borough, headed up the Duke of Edinburgh awards and received awards for a gardening club.
Bobby Molavi: Trustee
Bobby works within the financial sector at an American investment bank. He has worked within this field since 2003 and has had the opportunity to work across the world—in Asia, US and Europe—during that period. He spends most of his time dealing with the Hedge fund industry and is focussed on Equity Derivatives.
He graduated with MA in Politics from Edinburgh University. He lives in London.
